Youth at Grace Church Nottingham
Grace Church Youth exists to give young people the chance to encounter the transforming love and power of Jesus for themselves, whilst building genuine friendships that will shape their teenage years. If you’re in school years 7-13, we’d love you to be part of what we’re doing!
Tuesdays & Sundays
Tuesday nights are youth nights! Each week looks a bit different, but we use the time to hang out, play games, and give space for prayer and talking stuff through. There are free snacks and our youth team on hand to run the evening. These nights are designed to give our youth a space where they can feel safe and have loads of fun with other teenagers. These youth nights run from 7.30-9pm every Tuesday during term time for anyone in school years 7-13 at our building in the City Centre.
Get DirectionsOn Sundays we run youth provision for school years 7-13 in both our 9.15am and 11.15am services. The youth start the service in the main hall with our youth team to be part of our worship time, then after that they head upstairs to our youth rooms to hang out and have their own time studying the Bible and praying together. If you’re new, look out for our Connect Team on a Sunday and they can help point you in the right direction.
Newday & Weekend Away
As well as our regular youth programme, we also have a couple of high points in the year at Newday festival and our own Youth Weekend Away.
Newday. Newday is one of the largest Christian events for young people in the UK. Thousands of young people aged 12-18 descend on Norfolk Showground to join hundreds of churches from all over the UK and Europe to learn about and worship God, camp out together and soak in the summer festival feeling. Every time we take our youth we see lives totally changed and friendships formed. Newday is one of the highlights of our youth year and runs every August.
Get DirectionsYWA. Every February half term we take our whole youth group away for a weekend to spend time together and encounter Jesus. The weekend is full of wide games, youth vs leader competitions, meals together but most importantly time spent in worship and with main sessions of teaching throughout the weekend. This weekend is one of the most important times for our youth to bond and start to feel that sense of tight-knit community. Keep an eye out for information on this nearer the time.
