Compassion at Grace Church Nottingham
We love Nottingham! It’s a brilliant city full of life and diversity, but we know that there are many people here who struggle financially or simply need some support to face the challenges of life. The church is called to bring hope and to be good news to those in need, so below you can read about the things we’re involved in to do just that.
Family Hub
On Tuesdays we run something called Family Hub from 10am-12pm. Our Family Hub is a place for families who need some support to come and have a friendly face to talk to whilst also meeting some practical needs. There’s space for young children to play, parents and carers can chat over a drink, and we provide baby essentials for children aged 0-3 years old.
Wednesday Service
Every Wednesday we run a midweek church service from 12-1pm for those who prefer a smaller setting or might not be able to access our Sunday services. This service has become a thriving community with people from all walks of life, and once the service itself has finished we share lunch together. As part of this congregation we have a number of midweek men’s and women’s home groups and support groups.
Food Bank
Every Wednesday we run a Food Bank which provides emergency food parcels to people in moments of crisis. This runs after our Wednesday service from 1:30-2pm. For referral forms and more information please email us.

Mental Health Support Group
Every Saturday at 10:30am we run a mental health support group. This is a space for people to come and feel heard and safe, to receive mutual support and encouragement, and to journey together in community and friendship. There’s no need to sign up, but from time to time the group meet somewhere else other than our building, so if you’re interested pop Phil an email (he runs the group) to check where they are this week.
Find out moreWe know we’re not in this alone. We love to support other organisations, like Jericho Road Project and Homes for Good & Safe Families, as well as linking with other churches to make a difference in our city. To find out more, pop us an email.
